What We Do
Use our internally developed platform strategy to:
- Help business leaders understand the platform paradigm; and what risks and opportunities this presents
- Help decision makers adjust their investment strategies using our platform strategy
- Help organizations use our evolutionary prototyping process to implement this strategy
- Design and build frameworks to help companies quickly roll out solutions that are not only flexible, but can easily interact with each other
Our Process
Our process is broken into two parts: strategy and implementation. We believe someone who is unable to implement technology solutions is poorly equipped to determine technology strategy. The experience and knowledge gained from implementing technology and determining technology strategy is indeed a virtuous cycle.
There must be an ongoing feedback loop between strategy and implementation. It has been demonstrated over and over again, that the further away the decision makers are from the engineers (e.g. the implementors) the poorer the decision, the poorer the implementation, and the less the implementation reflects the intended decision.
Platform Strategy
- Determine what type of platform the company currently has and strives to eventually have; often the current state is a tangled web of discrete, poorly integrated applications
- Determine how the three technology mega trends effect the existing and emerging platforms in your market...potentially opening the opportunity for market transitions
- Determine on what platform(s) the organization should focus
- When and how should the organization plug into other platforms
Platform Solution
- Help create an enterprise architecture to create an agile information technology roadmap that can be continually evolved
- Determine if creating an internal ontology will assist data and information interactivity
- Create a scaffolding framework to allow project teams to focus on the tasks unique to their specific project while easing time to market, data interoperability, and later platform integration
- For smaller projects direct the focus on building virtual resources
- Implement the evolutionary prototyping process to quickly and efficiently create, build, and deploy solutions
